This course has been most impactful in helping me see the complexity of seemingly simple materials. Basic materials like tinfoil and wax paper have the ability to be converted into something much more impactful when they are given the chance. I now appreciate the value of materials I would typically have overlooked. Through the projects we did, I gained an understanding of how malleable different forms are, especially in seeing how different every students work was each week. As an Art History major, I am more used to analyzing the work of others, but this class pushed me to create my own. I am excited to continue my artistic exploration in the future!
