Sarrah

Sarrah’s Description Project

For my description project, I used colored pencils in blue, magenta, and green. For the blue colored pencil, I listened to the song “Gravity” by John Mayer, and found myself making slow, peaceful, smooth loops and waves across the page (elbow’s length). In contrast to this, the magenta color was used to the song “Posthumous Forgiveness” by Tame Impala, which has a strong, fast, aggressive beat and so my mark making emulated this (wrist’s length). Lastly, for the green colored pencil I listened to the song “Big Yellow Taxi” by Counting Crows, which was a mix of melodic and upbeat parts. Therefore I had both smooth and sharp mark making (elbow’s length).
