I’ve never really thought about art from a 3D perspective. For me, art has always been sketching with paper and pencil or painting. It wasn’t until this class that I started making 3D designs, whether that be with tinfoil, wax paper, plaster, or wooden sticks. My favorite part after making these designs was running them through photoshop and seeing how they interact with different filters. Even just changing the contrast of certain images brings out something in them no one could have guessed to be there. This has brought a certain awareness to me regarding the importance of understanding space and the interactions of shadows and light in our designs. I can confidently say that after this class, I’ve not only become a better artist, but I see the world differently.
